June 11, 2018 (Oklahoma City, OK) – The Sharing Tree Board of Directors and staff welcomed their new Executive Director, Tabitha Narvaiz, to the organization. With over a decade of experience in community outreach and strategic planning, Ms. Narvaiz will work to develop relationships through central Oklahoma in order to advance the mission of Sharing Tree. Ms. Narvaiz comes equipped to provide strategic leadership in resource and organizational development, communications, and the day-to-day operations of Sharing Tree.
Prior to joining Sharing Tree, Tabitha managed special projects and community outreach for Oklahoma City Community College President, Jerry Steward, and worked to increase community support and services offered to Servicemembers and Veterans throughout Oklahoma as a contractor for the U.S. Department of the Army. Tabitha began her career in Washington, D.C. where she worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, multiple state and national political campaigns, and advocated on behalf of a diverse portfolio of clients that included veteran services and transportation and infrastructure.
“We are very excited to have Tabitha taking on the role of executive director for Sharing Tree,” said Erin Logan, Board President. “Tabitha brings to the job an exceptional combination of drive, compassion, and proven leadership skills in strategic planning and development. The Board of Directors is excited to have Tabitha on board to continue the important mission of Sharing Tree and to work with existing and new partners to expand Sharing Tree’s programs to more people in need.”
A native Oklahoman, Tabitha first got involved with nonprofits while living in Washington, D.C. and working for an organization that supported Gold Star Families. Inspired by the gratitude of families who had made the ultimate sacrifice, Tabitha’s passion for charitable work has continued throughout her career. Tabitha spends her free time with her husband, two dogs, and acclimating to life with two foster sons, soon-to-be known as just, sons. Tabitha attends Crosstown Church, is a member of the Junior League of Oklahoma City, and bleeds America’s Brightest Orange as a graduate of Oklahoma State University.
